Happy New Year

Happy New Year Guys!

I’m currently sat in bed (ill) thinking how amazing this year could be!
I have a few exciting things coming up that I will share nearer the time (eeeeee) and I’m wondering what else I can do to make this year a happier one for me.

I’m not one for making New Year resolutions, my resolution started the middle of last year when I decided I wanted to change my eating habits and lose some weight, but I do have some slight adjustments that I would like to try and keep in mind going forward.

Firstly, I would like to become more positive.
I saw a quote the other day and it simply said “Lately I’ve been replacing my “I’m sorrys” with “thank yous”, like instead of saying “sorry I’m late” I’ll say “thanks for waiting for me”, or instead of saying “sorry for being such a mess” I’ll say ” thank you for loving and caring about me unconditionally” and it’s not only shifted the way I think and feel about myself but also improved my relationships with others who now get to receive my gratitude instead of my negativity.
I fell in love with this and decided I need to take this approach.

Secondly, I need to grow some balls and tell people how I really feel.
There are a few occasions when people will do or say something either directly or indirectly which has an impact on me and I sit and I say nothing. Why do I say nothing, simply because I don’t want to cause a fuss. I don’t want someone to feel like they’ve upset me nor would I want to upset them or make them angry/piss them off so I keep my mouth zipped and get on with things, but for a while now I’ve been telling myself I need to change this.
Im not going to start by making an issue out of every little thing but if someone acts in a way that is upsetting and is effecting me then why should I not voice this? The same applies to someone talking to me in a rude manner, why shouldn’t I tell them its not appreciated?
So this year I hope to grow a back bone and become more vocal.

Lastly, all the foods!
As of tomorrow I am going to attempt to cut dairy out of my diet. I suffer a lot from abdominal pains and bad acid reflux which has been going on for far to long and I feel like it could be caused by a lactose intolerance. There’s only really one way to find out so for the first couple of weeks of this year I’m going to have to suck it up and give it up!

Ive no doubt Ill struggle with all of the above but as long as I try then nothing is lost.

I hope you all have an amazing year and I look forward to updating you on how Im getting on and sharing my experiences with you.

Love Stacey x
